Anthony Levatino is a former obstetrician-gynecologist (OBGYN) who performed over 1,200 abortions and now speaks out against it.
Perhaps it’s because I have a child, but this conversation cut very close to the bone. I think it’s probably the most difficult podcast I’ve ever recorded.
⚠️ As an aside, I recommend listening to my conversation with British anti-abortion activist Eden McCourt on why she believes it’s a criminal act.
“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”
- Ronald Reagan
Some folks argue that unborn babies are not babies, but this is both a stupid and convenient argument to make themselves feel better and to shift the responsibility onto others, so they feel less guilty about their sexual behaviour.
Don’t want to fall pregnant?
Close your legs or don’t have unprotected sex during those few very important days in the middle of the month.
I suspect that once someone loses their moral compass, making immoral decisions becomes easier. In other words, having no foundational values is a slippery slope.
Yes, but what about my body, my choice and what-have-you?
Sure, that’s fine, but what about the baby’s body?
Does the baby not have a choice?
Of course not—if you change the definition of ‘baby’.
Anthony Levatino
Following personal experiences, including the death of his adopted daughter, Anthony stopped killing babies and became a pro-life advocate.
He chose a path of redemption.
And God bless him for doing that.
He has since appeared in documentaries, given testimonies in court, and participated in pro-life events to share his journey. Anthony used to treat the abortion process like any other medical procedure, simply executing a woman’s choice. After all, women’s liberation is all about liberating women.
From their responsibilities.
Anthony’s Damascus moment—his turning point—pulled at my heartstrings during our conversation.
He takes on the usual pro-abortion arguments, tearing them apart with facts about medical ethics and the value of human life.
Which is what an unborn baby is: a human life.
With its own DNA and genetic code, separate from that of the mother.
He also makes it clear that abortions aren’t the safest option for saving a woman’s life in an emergency; delivery is a far better and safer choice. Put another way, if she doesn’t want the baby, it’s safer to give birth and give it up for adoption than to have a doctor kill it.
I’m not sure about you, but I’m pretty happy that I wasn’t aborted.
“The obvious effect of frivolous divorce will be frivolous marriage. And the obvious effect of frivolous birth control will be frivolous life.”
- GK Chesterton
